eco-stride works with both public and private schools, as well as a variety of non-traditional learning institutions to bring creative new ways of educating the youth, and fostering a new environmental awareness in the classroom. By developing a range of educational programs, from single day events we call Eco-Fairs, to semester projects that will benefit the schools and graduating seniors, Eco-Stride hopes to instill solid foundational principles while encouraging innovative thinking that will combine a learning experience with a life lesson for the students, teachers, administrators and parents.

Our professional partners build volunteerism within their organizations by giving back to the community through educational institutions. Students developing one of our educational programs benefit from exposure to industry professionals, manufacturers and non-profit organizations who will contribute their time and energy to make every eco-event a success.

Newhart Middle School STEM Pilot - Fall 2011
Eco-Stride is introducing its Eco-Fair Education Program to Newhart Middle School in Mission Viejo, California as a STEM Pilot. A STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Program will bring new experiences and educational focus to students across the Capistrano Unified School District, and Eco-Stride is proud to donate its time and resources to this pilot program. This fall, students from the 6th, 7th and 8th grades will be assigned an area of interest from Energy Efficiency, Water Conservation or Materials Management and Eco-Stride will bring Subject Matter Experts to work with them to develop semester projects.

As with Sage Hill School in Newport Coast, California, the culmination of the semester program will be an Eco-Fair, engaging the school, surrounding community and local businesses. Students will have an opportunity to display their semester projects, and demonstrate their new found knowledge and understanding of sustainability and environmental preservation.

Eco-Stride, LLC is partnering with corporations, municipalities, non-profit entities and educational institutions to bring this program to a variety of public and private schools in Southern California.
